The detention Division is the largest division of the Converse County Sheriff's Office. Our current jail has 34 bunks and 2 holding cells. Having an average daily inmate population of 30 inmates. We have outgrown our present facilities capacities and are currently awaiting the construction of the new Justice Center. Our detention facility utilizes digital imaging and current software programs. Along with a highly dedicated and certified group of detention officers working 24 hrs a day 7 days a week to help keep the inmates and our community safe.
