ABOUT THE SHERIFF

Sheriff Clinton B. Becker was elected into office during the Primary Elections in 2006. Taking office in January 2007, making him the 21st Sheriff of Converse County. Sheriff Becker retired from the Wyoming Highway Patrol after serving with them for 20 years, patrolling Wyoming's Highways. Sheriff Becker has called Douglas and Converse County his home since 1986

 

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Converse County Sheriff's Department is to work with the citizens of Converse County to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property, and promote individual responsibility and community commitment.

Wyomings Move Over Law requires drivers to move over or slow down when approaching an emergency vehicle that is stopped along the roadway -- and mandates drivers to make way for emergency vehicles with flashing lights activated.
